Yes please! It is very important when you have content types with many fields to be able to organize the form into sections. It could be done with simple sections and headings or, even better, with the option to break the form into tabs.

This is a good suggestion, I might add:
Component description would be nice.
Sections that could look just like components but without the delete button might be an option.
I often create components just to create some organization in data types not because it needs to be a component.
The ability to fold and unfold sections with an option to have them folded or unfolded by default when the view is opened.
The ability to label repeated component items without having to use a field on the component item itself. Especially useful if the component only includes relational fields.
