Q4, 2022 — Respect relation items order
Is this the feature that allows us to drag and drop relations in the main view to sort them as the pictures below?
Per Östlin: Yes and this is already in beta try 4.6.0-beta.1
Boegie19: Yes, tried the beta yesterday, I just though since the post is set to complete it would be merged into the stable version.
Thanks for quick response :)
Per Östlin: Last I heard the release of 4.6.0 would be the 24th but I could be wrong since I am just community member and not part of strapi
Boegie19: It will be released on the 25th of January.

Hi everyone! just wondering, since we will be able to sort relations, can we also expect to sort the "multiple media" input?
Dennis Snijder: That is already possible if you drag and drop the images under the Selected files tab in the Add new assets window.
Aevar: Nice! thanks, however, I must say I would expect this to be possible right from the content editor, the "add new assets" window isn't as intuitive.
Dennis Snijder: Thank you for that idea! I will bring it up with the team and keep you posted!
Dennis Snijder: I agree it could be much more intuitive. I only figured this out by accident.
Hello there, we just released Strapi v4.5. As part of it, we moved the relations into the main layout. As Gustav was saying in his last post here, this was the first step before allowing re-orderable entries.
The beta for relations reordering is expected to be released in mid-December and the stable around end of January/beginning of February.
Hello everybody! I have good news: we are already working on making relation ordering possible.
We are currently beta-testing a new relation field, that will be more performant and displayed in the main view of the content-manager. This builds the foundation for making the entries re-orderable. You can follow the progress here: https://github.com/strapi/strapi/pull/14401 and here https://feedback.strapi.io/customization/p/relations-v2
We have started to spec out an API for that and will release an RFC soon. There is a good chance that we will release it this year.
