We would like to raise a concern and enhancement request regarding the Widget Management layout under Page Management in Strapi CMS, as the current experience is highly time-consuming and difficult to manage for pages with large numbers of widgets.

Currently, the widget list layout displays only around 5 widgets at a time, requiring users to continuously click on the “Load More” option to view additional widgets. This creates major usability challenges, especially while sequencing or repositioning widgets on long pages. Our expectation is to have an Expand View or Full Page View option, where the complete widget list can be viewed in a single scrollable layout without needing to repeatedly load more widgets. A larger and continuous view would significantly improve visibility, sequencing accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Additionally, the current drag-and-drop functionality is slow and unstable. While repositioning widgets, the wrong widget often gets picked up during drag actions, and moving widgets across long sections becomes very time-consuming due to lag and delayed response. The drag-and-drop interaction needs to be optimized for faster performance and accurate widget selection/pinning.

We would also like to request a multi-select and bulk positioning functionality within widget management. Users should be able to select multiple widgets together and place them directly at the desired position with a single action, instead of moving each widget individually. This would make widget sequencing much easier and more efficient.

Another key concern is that newly added widgets currently get placed only at the bottom of the page by default, after which manual repositioning is required. Instead, there should be an option to directly add or insert a widget between existing widgets at the intended position itself. This enhancement would eliminate unnecessary drag-and-drop efforts and save significant operational time.
