Permission Management for Media Library Folders
M
Moritz Eck
As an admin, I'd like that the media library folders respect the RBAC and asset permission settings. For example, as a user with role 'author' I shouldn't be able to see another users media library folders. Also, I shouldn't be able to delete/modify a folder which I haven't created myself. Currently, this is the case. See the following Github issue for more details: https://github.com/strapi/strapi/issues/15059

It's been quite a while since this issue was raised and Folders still do not respect the RBAC rules and are visible to anyone despite the permissions. Any updates or estimates Derrick Mehaffy

Derrick Mehaffy: As mentioned in the issue, this feature was working as expected in v4.6.6. So, I don't think it's a feature request, but rather a defect. One of the main reasons why we are using Strapi Enterprise edition is RBAC for media libraries.

This would be a really neat and handy feature, hopefully "free RBAC for community edition" (https://feedback.strapi.io/feature-requests/p/free-rbac-community-edition) that just moved to In progress will make this possible.
